Tuesday, December 30th marked the beginning of something special.
The launch of The Listening Room—curated by @bigxatl aka @spearheadx71 of Coalition DJs—set the tone for a new kind of DJ experience in Atlanta.
This platform invites some of the most respected DJs from Atlanta and around the country to play what they feel, not just what’s trending. No algorithms. No pressure. Just intention.
The night opened with DJ Oxygen, who immediately set the atmosphere with masterful blends and a unique vinyl collection that prepared the room for what was ahead.
Hour two belonged to Spearhead X / Big X, delivering rare classics and deep grooves that reminded everyone why curation matters.
Next came DJ Jaycee—the DJs’ DJ. From start to finish, his set was flawless. Precision, control, and taste on full display.
Closing the night was Ray Murray of the legendary Organized Noize, who took the crowd on a “reimagine what you already know” journey—transforming familiar Dungeon Family music into something entirely new.
The Listening Room is a necessary addition to Atlanta’s music culture.
Every Tuesday, the platform will spotlight respected DJs across all genres, centered on musical integrity, listening, and experience.
This isn’t a party.
It’s a listening culture.
